Rockingham, NC ~ The UARA-STARS Series was expected to hit the 1 mile tri-oval of Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, NC during 2008, but after the schedule was issued it was obvious that wasn't going to happen, but in 2009 it just might. Two of the UARA-STARS regulars Alex Yontz and Jamey Caudill took to the track in a GoodYear tire test on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 and the UARA-STARS got one step closer to hitting the track for a race in 2009. Caudill said he was impressed with the way the car handled the big track and the tires. "The car drove real good here and I was impressed with the tires that we had, the tire wear looked very good," explained veteran driver, Jamey Caudill, who just won the Seneca 400 at Myrtle Beach Speedway over the weekend.
According to UARA-STARS manager, Kerry Bodenhamer the UARA-STARS schedule is almost complete, but that the 15th and 16th race on the schedule may be races at Rockingham and companion race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Look for the complete UARA schedule to be available soon. |
