Story by: Langley Austin with Wesley Outland Qualifying for the Late Model Stock Cars, Super Late Models and Limited Late Models happened Saturday evening with the Limited Late Model race also getting started, but a form of percipitation rarely seen at a race track ended the race early ... it actually snowed in Kenly, NC tonight. The snow ended the racing action with Justin Snow, no relation, winning the Limited Late Model race. The former South Boston regular and also former crew cheif for Late Model Stock Car and Pro-Cup driver, Matt Lofton, dominated the race after starting on the pole. Corey Donley, brother of Late Model Stock Car driver, Jerame Donley finished second after starting there in a very eventful race. In Late Model Stock Car pole qualifying Jamey Caudill knocked off the pole position with a time of 14.941 just a couple hundreths of a second faster than Doug "Wild Child" Godsey. Qualifying third was Friday's fastest driver in practice, Stacy Puryear, UARA-STARS Rookie of the Year, Darrell Wallace, Jr. and Southern National track champion, Corey Strickland in fifth. Thirty-three cars took time today in qualifying and the entire starting list is listed below. Super Late Models also took to the track today for qualifying a mere 13 cars strong with Clay Jones taking the pole with a 14.491 second lap over second place qualifier, Dean Clattenburg. Alex Fleming, David Clark and Shelton McNair rounded out the top five qualifiers. While Snow and snow headlined Saturday's action the Late Model Stock Cars and Super Late Models will take on the 4/10 mile high banked track for the Thanksgiving Classic's final day of action on Sunday. It should be some great racing and Corey Latham and Wesley Outland will bring us all the reports from Southern National Raceway Park in Kenly, NC.
