competition back in May, Elliott times in second, with RJ West third.
Michael Elliott got the jump over Lucas on the initial start but Lucas powered off turn two with the lead.
It didn't take long for the first caution to come out as Wayne Driggers went sailing off the track in turn four. Since all the cars didn't cross the finish line it was a full restart. Once again, Elliott got the jump but Lucas powered off turn two with the lead. Driggers brought out the second caution on the restart when he spun in turn one. Going off the track on the backstretch would be Jordan Smith, Smith and Archie Adams Sr. made contact sending Smith off.
Another complete restart, another good restart for Elliott. Lucas made the move off turn two again and lead the first lap. Jordan Smith brought out the third caution when he spun in turns three and four. No contact was made with the wall and he continued on. Elliott got the got the jump again on the restart and again Lucas powered by on the high side off turn two. It didn't take long for the fourth caution as Donnie Johnson went sailing off the track in turn three.
Lucas and Elliott got a good restart this time and were dead even at the flagstand. Elliott now had to deal with Archie Adams Jr., and Rudy Branham. Elliott had now fallen all the way back to fourth. Harold Ethridge Jr. brought out the fifth caution when he went around in turn three. He continued on without damage.
Lucas now had to deal with Archie Adams Jr. on the restart. Adams Jr. got the jump but Lucas got by off turn two. The sixth caution came out when Michael Elliott went around in turn four. Elliott was done for the night. Adams Jr. got the jump again but Lucas like he did all night got around off turn two. Donnie Johnson and Remington Prince brought out the seventh caution when both went around in turn four.
Under the caution, Prince wasn't all too happy with RJ West. Several times he let West know. Nothing came of the situation after this though. Lucas finally got to the finish line first on a restart. The field got single file except for Donnie Johnson and Remington Prince back in the pack. Johnson would then bring out the eighth caution when he went for a wild ride off the backstretch.
Lucas again got to the line first on the restart and looked to check out over the field. But that didn't last long as Jordan Smith and Remington Prince got together in turn three. The race track now decided to count the caution laps as the drivers couldn't complete more than two laps. Lucas and Adams Jr. battled for the top spot on the restart. The battle again didn't last long as Harold Ethridge Jr., Wayne Driggers and Remington Prince were all involved in the eleventh caution in turn one. All cars continued on but with damage.
Only on lap ten and eleven cautions had already been through. The question was how many more before there was no cars left? Lucas got the top spot on the restart and left Adams Jr. to battle with Justin Shorter for second. Shorter who had been battling with Rudy Branham all night finally got around and looked to chase down the top two.
Jordan Smith brought out the twelfth caution he broke something on the left front of his car and came to a stop in turn four. Smith was done for the night. Lucas and Adams Jr. would battle again on the restart for the top spot. The spot would go to Lucas off turn two. Shorter and Branham would do battle for the third spot. RJ West would join them also.
Now that the race had a green flag run going, Lucas started to pull away from the field. Branham got around Shorter for the third spot but Shorter wanted the spot back. Shorter would look to the inside but could never get around Branham. Shorter now had to deal with RJ West who was all over his back bumper.
Remington Prince brought out the thirteenth caution when he went around in turn four. Prince was done for the night. Harold Ethridge Jr. brought out the fourteenth caution when he went around in turn one on the restart. The front row got a good restart and Adams Jr. looked to get by Lucas for the top spot. Lucas wasn't having any of that has he stretched his lead off turn two.
Justin Shorter finally got around Rudy Branham for third. West and Branham made contact that allowed West to move around Branham for fourth. West now ran down Shorter for third as the too put on a good show for the fans. Several laps clicked off and the two battled side by side for third. West finally got around Shorter for third and pulled away.
Back up front Averitt Lucas cruised to his seventh consecutive win in a row and eighth win of the season. Archie Adams Jr. RJ West, Justin Shorter and Rudy Branham rounded out the top five.
