The race will consist of one hundred and fifty laps(150) with caution laps counting with a half way break at lap seventy-five. Dillon has been averaging fifteen Late Models this year and with the extra money on the line this promises to be one of the biggest and best races of the year.
Late Model teams will be required to purchase tires from the race track. Tires will be the 2010 PASS North American Racer tires and will cost thirty dollars($30) each.
All rules can be found on the Dillon Motor Speedway website and will be followed exactly. If you have any questions, contact Ron Barfield at 843-496-4792 or ron@dillonmotorspeedway.com.
Local big name drivers like Hal Goodson, Jon Lane, Jason Clark, Wayne Locklair and Joe Heigl are all expected to show up with more coming from all around the area. On Sunday afternoon from one to six teams will be allowed to park and practice for Monday's events.
Also racing with the Late Models will be the 4 Cylinders, Chargers, Street Stocks, and the UCAR/Bombers. All these divisions have averaged twelve to fourteen cars each week and more are expected for this Monday afternoon showing.
Last year's Labor Day race had some exciting action with Kevin Jackson flipping on the backstretch in the 4 Cylinder division. This will mark the fourth annual Labor Day race at the Dillon Motor Speedway and promises to be the best one yet.
