Mercer on the Pole for the Fall Brawl

Hickory, NC(October 10, 2009) -- The 2009 version of the Fall Brawl at Hickory Motor Speedway is upon us once again and with qualifying thru it's a familiar face on the pole for the 250-lap race as Andy Mercer posted the fastest time among 26-cars to take time.
 
Mercer bested part-time NASCAR Nationwide Series driver and full-time UARA-STARS Series competitor, Coleman Pressley for the top spot.  Jamie Yelton turned in the third fastest time of the day in NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Steven Wallace's car, but before the start of the race
 

tomorrow Wallace will drop to the rear of the field with Wallace behind the wheel.
 
Patrick Molesworth, Matt McCall and Ash Huffman will complete the top five.  This will be McCall's first appearance at Hickory since his last-to-first victory in the Dwight Huffman Memorial 177-lap race back in July.  McCall is looking to take home his second win in as many appearances this season when the green flag drops tomorrow.
 
Impressively in his first run with Fat Head Racing and team owner, Jamie Yelton, Dylan Presnell qualified seventh for tomorrow's race and looks to be a strong competitor in this years Fall Brawl at Hickory.
