Timmonsville, SC (April 26, 2010) - After just five Late Model Stock Cars showed up last week, anything more than five would be a success for Florence Motor Speedway. In total there were eight Late Models that checked into the pits Friday night and by race time they were down to seven as Jordan Smith, who had planned to make his first start in a Late Model, blew an engine in practice.

Jamey Lee would set fast time in qualifying with an 18.700 second lap time with Michael Elliott timing in second. RJ West, Strom Altman Jr., Raef Judd, and Remington Prince would round out the top 6. Archie Adams Jr. wouldn't take time because his team was still changing the rear end in his car.

On the start, Elliott got the jump over Lee into turn turn. Elliott would set sail and never look back as Lee would fall back to second and just ride for the majority of the fifty-lap event.

RJ West would bring out the first caution of the night when he got loose off turn four and pounded the inside wall just inches from where I was shooting the race. His car was done for the night.

Elliott again got the jump from the outside on the restart and left Lee battling with Raef Judd for 2nd. Lee would take the position.

Remington Prince would bring out three cautions on the night. All three times Prince would get loose in turn two. Once he would claim the dirt hill in turn two but receive no damage to his car.

The final restart of the night would be a Green-White-Checkered finish. This time, Elliott wouldn't have the greatest run off turn two which allowed Lee to battle with him for the final laps. Elliott got a good run off the second corner on the white flag lap and beat Lee back to the line by a meer half a car length.

After the race, Elliott said; "Jamey(Lee) could have dumped me, turned me after I turned him a few weeks ago when my brakes went out, but he didn't. He raced me like I would want him to race me."

Taking the win would be Michael Elliott with Jamey Lee second. Raef Judd third, Archie Adams Jr fourth and Strom Altman Jr. rounding out the top five.

In the Stock 4 Cylinder division, Russ Turner Jr almost didn't get by Kevin Jackson. After Jackson lost a cylinder which allowed Turner Jr. to get by to finish 2nd. Leon Vinson, Bobby Tumbelston Sr. and Jarrett Smith where the top 5.

Kevin Jackson claimed the victory in the Super Stock division over Jon Martin, Adam Dowling, Cody Parker and Todd Amerson.

Cody Weatherford took home the victory in the Young Guns division and Bobby Schwabenbauer took home the victory in the Shriner's Cup division.
