Ronnie Bassett, Jr. began racing when he was just eight years old in the Bandolero Bandits and since then has become one of the most recognized names in Bandolero and Legend car racing winning races and titles all over the east coast. A 32-win season in 2006 at age ten in Bandolero's, a 31-win season in 2007 including becoming the Youngest National Champion. Many championships and victories later, the young up and coming driver has made the move to full-size Late Model Stock Cars and right away has seen sucess, winning in his third start at Caraway in the Sportsman division in 2009.
Last season, Bassett began running the UARA-STARS Series full time for his own family owned team and though the team had their moments and even qualified on the pole for a race at Lonesome Pine Raceway, they decided to make the move to Fat Head Racing(FHR) in 2011. FHR is a Driver Development Program known for taking young drivers and molding them into winners and championship caliber drivers and in just a short time with the team, Bassett has come into his own, starting from the pole and winning his first career UARA-STARS Series race. The young driver is making his own path and looks to become one of the drivers to beat in Late Model Stock Car racing for years to come.
