Revolution Race Tire, the distributor for GoodYear tires for short track racing east of the Mississippi, reached an agreement with Greenville Pickens Speedway recently to make the historic track a GoodYear facility. Starting with the premier division, the Late Model Stock Cars will compete on the GoodYear 2902 tire, the same tire utilized by the successful UARA-STARS Series.

Greenville Pickens Speedway joins other regional Late Model Stock Car tracks by switching to GoodYear tires including historic, Hickory Motor Speedway and Tri-County Motor Speedway in North Carolina as well as the UARA-STARS Series and the SouthEast Limited Late Model Series.

Greenville Pickens Speedway promoter, Kevin Whitaker is excited about the change to GoodYear and working with Revolution Race Tire this season.

"We are excited about switching to GoodYear tires for the 2011 season," said Whitaker. "I know by GoodYear's reputation that they build some of the best tires in racing and I think our competitors will be pleased with the changes."
