FDJ Motorsports Pre-Race SoBo/Caraway Power Rankings -- 1 thru 11

11th -- Stacy Puryear(SoBo)

Stacy Puryear has had a great season despite only having one victory to his credit.  He's been in the thick of nearly every race and while he hasn't had the greatest luck, he's been there when it counted the most toward the end of the races at South Boston.  He also put on a great show at Motor Mile and Martinsville two weeks ago, but he's eyeing a trophy in South Boston's biggest race this weekend and just might get it.

10th -- Travis Swaim(Caraway)

Travis Swaim did everything he set out to this season, well except for winning the NASCAR North Carolina State Title again, due to car count issues and not because he wasn't strong all season.  He became a four-time Caraway Speedway champion this season, something few drivers have ever accomplished and while a lack of funding kept him from Martinsville he's hungry for a big race win in his own back yard.

9th -- Brandon Butler(SoBo)

Brandon Butler had pretty much been non-existent from last fall's Virginia is for Racing Lovers 300 to this years, but he put himself back on the perverbial map with a solid performance in the seasons biggest event.  Everyone knows that Brandon is going to be a contender in any race he competes in and this weekends Danville Toyota 300 will be no different as the veteran straps in for a race he's a won before.

Dan Moore ... Dan Moore ... Dan Moore, yeah I know many of you young people may not recognize the name, but some of you older fans may well be wondering if this is the same Dan Moore.  Yes it is and Dan's probably even better than you remember him to be. After all he's had the best season of his career and with five wins coming into this weekend he'll be looking for number six in Caraway's biggest event.

8th -- Dan Moore(Caraway)

7th -- Justin Johnson(SoBo)

Justin Johnson may well have not been on his game in the latter part of the season, but that didn't keep the young driver from winning the South boston Speedway title and making a name for himself in Late Model Stock Car racing.  Justin, the on-track leader for the FDJ Army for much of the season has to be salivating at the chance to compete in the biggest race of the year on his home turf and he's going to be strong.

6th -- Frank Deiny, Jr.(Caraway)

I know, I know ... many of you thought that back to back run-ins with Lucas Ransone at Myrtle Beach last fall and Hickory this spring, ended the veterans successful career, but aparently the old dogs got some laps left in him.  FDJ, the leader of the FDJ Army will be back in action driving a car for Kiker Motorsports, the same team Brandon Dean won the Motor Mile title with.  So who wants to bet against this proven winner?

5th -- CE Falk III(SoBo)

CE Falk III, easily had the best season of any Late Model Stock Car driver from winning nine races on his home turf of Langley Speedway, a win at the ultra-competitive Motor Mile Speedway and beating Denny Hamlin in his own race at Southside Speedway.  CE also had a win stripped from him at South Boston, so he'll be digging extra hard this weekend to show everyone he can conquer SoBo and even in the biggest race of all.

4th -- Matt McCall(Caraway)

Matt McCall is easily one of the top five Late Model Stock Car racers of this decade and while he hasn't been able to pound the pavement this season like in past seasons, he has turned out some impressive performances.  From being the first driver not named Philip Morris to win a pole at Motor Mile this season to his second place effort at Martinsville he's proven that he will be in the mix no matter what.

3rd -- Lee Pulliam(SoBo)

Lee Pulliam needs no introduction to race fans right now after taking South Boston by storm toward the end of this season, picking up five wins.  Lee isn't one of the brash young upstarts like a Nick Smith or Jake Crum and he's not anything like his biggest competitors Justin Johnson or Philip Morris ... he's just a young coutry boy, who can drive the wheels off his car and his 'big race' win could come as soon as Saturday evening.

2nd -- Alex Yontz(Caraway)

Alex Yontz is another racer who needs absolutely no introduction, some remember him for the great accomplishments he's had like being the only Late Model Stock Car driver to win at Martinsville & Bristol.  However, some only seem to remember his problems from last year when he was running with a bad crowd despite those days being over.  Alex' career is back on track and this young man is the real deal and a Mid-Atlantic Championship trophy from Caraway could be his Sunday evening.

1st -- Philip Morris(SoBo)

If there was any doubt about Philip Morris' place in Late Model Stock Car racing, I would say that this years dominating performance in the Virginia is for Racing Lovers 300, the biggest Late Model Stock Car race of all erased them all.  Philip is this decades greatest Late Model Stock Car competitor and with just one race to go for him, he'd certainly like to go out with a Danville Toyota 300 trophy at South Boston.
