Summerfield, NC(May 5, 2011) -- As Bobby McCarty and his McCarty Racing team spent this winter preparing their newly acquired Limited Late Model car, he was unknown to the Late Model racing world, but little did they know he would make a splash right out of the gate.

McCarty and his team, led by his father, Troy, decided to compete full-time this season at South Boston Speedway in South Boston, VA to allow McCarty to get some seat time in the bigger, heavier cars. McCarty spent the last two seasons competing in the Allison Legacy Series, a scale racecar that helped him develop his craft against other up and coming young drivers.

Racing in the Allison Legacy Series and touring across the southeast region gave McCarty the chance to learn how to race on tracks of many shapes and sizes and also prepared him for driving a full size stock car after racing go-

karts for several years. With go-kart National Championships, an Allison Legacy Series Rookie of the Year award and two wins to his credit, McCarty is ready to make his mark on the Limited Late Model ranks.

McCarty is off to a great start in his Limited Late Model as in his first five starts he has accumulated three third place finishes, four top five finishes and a single finish outside the top five due to a mechanical failure. Those stats wouldn't mean near as much if it wasn't for the list of accomplished drivers that the young North Carolina native is racing against such as Justin Snow, Danny Willis, Jr. and Brian Pembleton just to name a few.

The competition level at South Boston Speedway is known to be among the highest in Late Model Stock Car racing, but might just be a little more tough in the Limited Late Models. McCarty however is quickly finding his groove and has quickly gained the respect of the above mentioned racers, who have many more laps around the 4/10 mile track.

Now, McCarty is just looking to keep his early season momentum up despite rear end problems sidelining him in his last start at South Boston.

"We've been off to a great start," said McCarty. "Going into Limiteds we didn't really know what to expect, but I think I've adapted to the car really well and my dad(Troy) has given me a car capable of running up front every week. I'm proud of what we've done so far and I just hope we can continue to run like this every week."

Off the track, McCarty is also looking for the chance to ramp up his career as he's launched an all new website for the 2011 season. Together with RACE22.com Designs, McCarty has a new look that will help promote him. His website has a bio of the young driver, a season race schedule with start/finish results, a page for his sponsors, partners and links as well as photos, videos, press releases and contact info.

Be sure to check out McCarty's new website for the latest info as well as his full racing schedule for this season at South Boston Speedway. McCarty returns to action on May 14th and will look to put himself back in the top five and in a position to contend for his first career win.

"Breaking at the start of the last race hurt us a lot," continued McCarty. "There's not much you can learn from a mechanical failure, but I don't like having to watch a race I'm supposed to be in. We're working hard to make sure that no more mechanical failures hurt us and we hope to be back up front in the next race."

McCarty is supported by Champion Automotive, RW Schoolfield Electric and Scott Lynn Designs. For more info on McCarty, check out his new website at www.BobbyMcCarty.com
