Most Improved Driver:

Tommy Lemons, Jr. ~ Motor Mile Speedway(VA)
Jesse Ingle III ~ Ace Speedway(NC)
Ross Furr ~ UARA-STARS Series
Scott Young ~ Southern National Raceway(NC)

TOMMY LEMONS, JR. #27

Wytheville, VA ~ The Most Improved Driver Award was a tough one with the four drivers nominated for the award being very talented drivers and each having their own amount of success this season in their respective tracks or series.

Ross Furr obviously was a lead candidate in the race for this award with his one UARA-STARS Series win and the series championship after missing the season opening race.  Furr however wasn't the Most Improved driver in the 2007 season for Late Model Stock Car racing, that honor belongs to Motor Mile Speedway competitor, Tommy Lemons, Jr.  Lemons had an incredible season at Motor Mile racking up some great finishes while never making it to victory lane and then missed out on winning the Myrtle Beach 400 at Myrtle Beach Speedway at the end of the season.

Lemons plans to return to Motor Mile Speedway full time this season while racing as much on his weeks off as possible and I'm sure that this season he'll improve even more and visit victory lane a little more often.
